Environmental Senior Project Manager

C&T Engineering and Inspection (C&T) is seeking an experienced Environmental Senior Project Manager (ESPM) to lead their growing environmental division in Franklin, TN. The ESPM will be responsible for the completion and overall success of all environmental projects, acting as the main point of contact for clients and managing a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of scientists and project managers
Manage complex projects involving wetland delineations, environmental resource permitting (ERP), and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) permitting
Oversee coordination with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC), and Florida Fish and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
Develop project budgets, schedules, and proposals while maintaining profitability and quality control
Build and maintain client relationships, leveraging local market knowledge and professional networks to grow the division
Support mitigation planning and compliance monitoring
Provide technical oversight and quality control for reports, delineations, and permit applications
Interface with clients on a regular basis. Maintain and develop a client database
Possess exceptional project management skills with a deep understanding of task delegation, scheduling, budgeting, time management and resource optimization to ensure efficient project execution
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly across various platforms including phone, email, and in-person meetings
Prepare proposals, contracts, invoices and manage budgets
Attend weekly Project Manager staff meetings
Prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines
Possess excellent knowledge of federal, state, and local wetlands regulations and guidelines and their implications on findings and conclusions in studies
Perform field work associated with hydrologic determinations, water resource inventory, ARAP permitting, Phase I, II ESAs, wetland and natural resource projects, assessments and remediation, permitting services
Independently prepare environmental reports, perform analysis and provide recommendations
Actively mentor subordinate staff and support overall development of the team
Review deliverables prepared by subordinate staff prior to submission to client
Schedule and direct subconsultants and subcontractors performing drilling, test pits, groundwater and soil investigations including boring locations and logistics
Collaborate with other Project Managers and disciplines at C&T

Required

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field
10 to 20 years of professional experience in natural resources consulting, permitting, and fieldwork
Proven leadership in team management, business development, and client relations
Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) mandatory
Tennessee-Qualified Hydrologic Professional (TN-QHP) mandatory
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds occasionally and walk on uneven ground through various terrains

Preferred

Master's degree in related field is strongly preferred
Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) certification strongly preferred
