Responsibilities

Support New Product Introduction (NPI) & New Source Introduction (NSI) projects following Caterpillar standards
Resolve CPI/NPI issues using structured problem‑solving (5 Why, Fishbone)
Support NPI/CPI builds, teardowns, and End‑of‑Line test analysis
Collaborate with manufacturing teams locally and globally for zero‑defect product delivery
Analyze test data and provide engineering assessments for out‑of‑limit parameters
Evaluate manufacturing deviation requests and determine rework/disposition
Participate in DFMEA and PFMEA activities
Communicate technical updates to project stakeholders and global manufacturing sites

Qualification

Required

Strong mechanical design background with experience in transmissions, axles, engines, wheel/brake systems, or rotating mechanical systems
Hands-on experience with FEA, modeling, detailing, tolerance stack‑ups, materials, and machine design
Structured problem‑solving (5 Why, Fishbone)
Experience supporting manufacturing and production processes
Proficiency with MS Office, Power BI, Power Apps

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
3–5 years of relevant design and validation experience
Experience in drivetrain, powertrain, or power systems engineering
Strong English communication skills
