Responsibilities

Audit production reporting, cycle counts, and physical inventory to ensure accuracy
Deliver documentation and explanations for out-of-tolerance inventory variances
Utilize all available tools to thoroughly research inventory discrepancies after executing adjustments
Track the flow of materials through the supply chain from initial receipt to final shipment
Maintain all inventory/part-related data in inventory management software
Work cross-functionally with SCM, Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, and Accounting to manage accurate production reporting and inventory adjustments
Develop new applications, tools, and ad-hoc refreshable reports to streamline processes and address business challenges
Interface with Quality to understand inventory held in QIHOLD and QIRJCT
Become proficient within specific warehouses (CYP, DMC, SWG)
Track departmental performance towards SOX compliance
Work with Purchasing and Warehouses to resolve ASP and receiving issues
Collaborate with Finance to oversee cycle count and inventory accuracy activities, maintaining acceptable accuracy and count volume throughout the year. Investigate and resolve errors, identifying and fixing root causes
Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs
Perform 4-wall and transaction activities for daily soft/hard tool counts
Make inventory adjustments in all warehouses (CYP, DMC, SWG)
Act as a backup for the Inventory Control Supervisor in their absence
Provide job-specific training for new Analysts
Distribute count sheets and count requests to cycle counters based on SOX compliance requirements

Required

Advanced understanding and knowledge of inventory control processes and best practices
Effective verbal and written communication with business acumen
Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Ability to generate reports, analyze data, and perform root-cause analysis
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to step in and lead a team for short time periods
Effective organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting
Good judgment, strong work ethics, and integrity
Complete knowledge of all Daikin warehouses (DMC, CYP, SWG, etc.) and inventory systems (MAPICS, WMS, Infor) required
3+ years of experience in inventory management
Minimum of 1 year in the Analyst Inventory Control 1 role
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
May be required to lift, carry, and/or move up to 50 lbs

Some college in a related field preferred
