COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT COORDINATOR (1062)

NEOGOV is looking for a Community Development Project Coordinator to manage various Community Development funded housing and capital improvement projects. The role involves overseeing project feasibility, compliance with regulations, and contract negotiations while ensuring proper use of funding.

Responsibilities

Perform professional level administrative work managing various Community Development funded housing and capital improvement projects from funding stage through final acceptance/closeout stage
Apply technical review and analysis to project specifications and development initiatives
Review and analysis of community development projects
Reviews proposals for financial and other project feasibility such as environmental, timeliness of completion, and other elements that may impede project completion
Work with consultant during contract negotiations
Preparation of accompanying resolutions and agreements
Responsible for evaluating feasibility and preparing and administering project contracts in a manner to ensure proper use of all associated funding
Ensure compliance with and adherence to all applicable laws, standards, guidelines, and regulations
Perform related work as directed
Perform related work as required
Driving of a Parish vehicle, thus possession of a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record will be given preference

Qualification

Residential construction experienceProperty management experienceConstruction Management degreeTechnical review skillsProject management

Required

Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent certificate; PLUS, substantial (approximately 2 years) experience in residential construction as a general contractor, construction superintendent, technical inspector, or reviewer of residential construction plans
OR Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent certificate; PLUS, substantial (approximately 2 years) experience in property management with responsibility for the supervision of maintenance, repair, or renovation of commercial/residential buildings
OR Possession of at least an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management or a related field
Possession of a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
