Responsibilities

Identify vulnerabilities and conduct root cause analysis using data to define mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards
Actively monitor and report outcome for systems and tools that generate data indicating site/region opportunities
Manage confidential investigations and prepare prompt reports of theft, fraud, and workplace violence/critical incidents
Utilize continuous improvement to drive process enhancements and increase efficiency
Serve as department’s liaison and security/crisis management subject matter expert keeping site leadership informed on department’s key issues, strategies and the performance
Identify, promote and implement security best practices while effectively partnering with internal customers to evaluate current and future security needs, processes, and initiatives, incident response planning, facilitating and management
Domestic regional travel up to 50% of the time when applicable
Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach; Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts; Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud; Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments); Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)
This role covers 24/7 operations and must be able to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 4+ years of professional or military experience
A minimum of 2+ years in security service OR loss prevention OR asset protection OR investigations OR law enforcement OR 2+ years of Amazon blue-badge experience

Preferred

Experience in implementing metric-based strategies utilizing continuous improvement concepts
Experience in physical security systems maintenance/implementation and coordinating scope of work with security vendors
2+ years of operational experience in risk management, audit, data analytics, inventory control, quality assurance, retail, warehouse, distribution center services, delivery service, or supply chain
Investigative interviewing experience; Wicklander and Zulawski, Loss Prevention Qualified, Certified Protection Professional, Loss Prevention Certified, Certified Forensic Interviewer, Certified Threat Assessment Certification or other relevant certifications
Workplace incident mitigation or de-escalation and business continuity planning experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office; including use of Excel pivot tables and development of charts/graphics
