Manufacturing Engineer
General Dynamics Mission Systems engineers a diverse portfolio of high technology solutions, products and services that enable customers to successfully execute missions across all domains of operation. The Manufacturing Engineer will develop, implement, and maintain methods and processes in the manufacturing of parts and assemblies, while collaborating with internal teams to estimate costs and improve manufacturing methods.

Responsibilities
Develop, implement and maintain methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacturing or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies
Develop strong communications with internal teams to estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines
Seek ways to develop and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards
Qualification
Required
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required
A clear understanding of manufacturing engineering concepts, principles, and theories
A clear understanding with manufacturing processes and electrical/mechanical components, systems and applications
