Responsibilities
Performs advanced level professional engineering and supervisory/managerial work
Manages major public works projects from inception to completion
Prepares and reviews technical plans and specifications, permit applications, engineering reports, progress reports, inspection reports and construction, testing, and engineering invoices
Exercises considerable independence in coordinating, planning, and implementing the work process
Functions as a staff specialist serving as a technical expert in the area of road and bridge construction
Position requires driving of a personal vehicle, thus possession of a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and personal automobile with minimum liability insurance available for business use
Qualification
Required
Current registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) with the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board (LAPELS)
Nine (9) years of professional engineering experience
Possession of a valid driver's license
Acceptable driving record
Personal automobile with minimum liability insurance available for business use
