Cambridge Public Schools is seeking a Grade 8 AMP’d Math Support Facilitator to help students progress through an online learning platform. The role includes providing feedback, managing communication with students and families, and overseeing a Google Classroom for student engagement.

Responsibilities

Ensure each student is making progress through an online learning platform
Provide appointment hours for student check-ins
Maintain open communication with students and families as they progress through their learning
Instructors will need access to their own device
Provide ongoing feedback and encouragement for students throughout sessions
Manage a Google Classroom for your students
Review student thinking and overall student comprehension to provide specific feedback

Qualification

Teaching mathematicsMiddle school experienceDiverse student populationsCommunication skillsFeedback provision

Required

Experience and confidence in teaching mathematics
Experience teaching middle school mathematics
Completion of or currently working towards a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college/university

Preferred

Experience dealing with diverse student populations
Familiarity working in an urban setting

Benefits

If you are a non-exempt employee and have worked more than 40 hours a week, you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours
