Responsibilities
Be responsible for on-site installation supervision, unit commissioning, subsystem commissioning and integrated system joint commissioning of the photovoltaic zone, energy storage zone, step-up substation and monitoring system for PV & energy storage power stations in North America and EMEA regions
Formulate and implement detailed commissioning plans, test schemes, power transmission and grid connection plans as well as emergency response plans to ensure the project is put into commercial operation on schedule and with high quality
Quickly diagnose and resolve various on-site technical faults involving inverters, energy storage PCS, battery clusters (BMS), EMS energy management systems, relay protection devices, SCADA systems, etc
Analyze system performance data and optimize operation strategies to ensure key indicators such as power station efficiency and battery health meet the standards
Act as the primary technical interface to coordinate with local power grid companies, owner's engineers and third-party inspection institutions, and lead the completion of all technical links including grid connection testing, model verification and performance acceptance
Ensure all work strictly complies with the power grid specifications, safety standards and environmental protection requirements of the EMEA region (e.g., Saudi SEC, etc.)
Compile professional and standardized commissioning reports, operation and maintenance manuals, system schematic diagrams and as-built documents
Provide systematic technical training for the customer's operation and maintenance team and local employees to complete technical handover
Manage the on-site commissioning team and coordinate multi-party resources such as equipment suppliers and construction subcontractors to ensure the safe and orderly progress of work
Resolutely implement the HSSE policy for overseas projects and foster a 'zero accident' safety culture
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Automation or other related engineering disciplines
More than 5 years of on-site commissioning experience in new energy power stations, with experience in the full participation of on-site commissioning and grid connection delivery of at least 2 large-scale ground-mounted PV or PV & energy storage hybrid power stations
A deep understanding of the primary and secondary electrical systems of PV & energy storage power stations, with the ability to independently resolve complex problems related to inverters, energy storage systems, medium-voltage switchgear and relay protection
Experience in commissioning PV & energy storage microgrids under weak grid or isolated grid systems is required
Proficiency in the architecture, communication protocols and control strategies of energy storage systems (PCS, BMS, EMS)
Familiarity with grid connection processes and standards, as well as grid adaptability requirements such as low/high voltage ride-through, reactive power support and frequency regulation
Skilled in using professional equipment and software such as relay protection testers, power quality analyzers and IEC 61850 simulation tools
Able to work overseas for a long term and adapt to the high-temperature, desert climate and on-site living conditions in the Middle East
Possess excellent pressure resistance and resilience in problem-solving
Fluent in English listening, speaking, reading and writing, with the ability to use English as the working language for technical negotiations, meetings and document compilation
Excellent cross-cultural communication skills and strong customer service awareness
Preferred
Candidates familiar with products of mainstream equipment manufacturers (e.g., Huawei, Sungrow, SMA, Tesla, etc.) will be preferred
Candidates proficient in Chinese will be preferred
