Responsibilities
Design, deploy, operate, and scale CockroachDB clusters
Ensure high availability and data consistency for distributed clusters
Monitor and troubleshoot database issues
Implement and test backup and recovery processes
Create and maintain operational runbooks and SOPs
Participate in on-call rotations for incident response
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Experience in designing and managing CockroachDB clusters in production environments
Strong understanding of database high availability, fault tolerance, and data consistency
Proficiency in monitoring cluster health and resource utilization
Ability to troubleshoot complex database and infrastructure issues
Preferred
Experience with disaster recovery strategies and processes
Knowledge of automating provisioning, scaling, and upgrades of databases
Skills in optimizing SQL query performance and database schema efficiency
