Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a retail and mall location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access concerns
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disorderly conduct, suspected theft, medical calls, and fire or alarm activations, and request assistance when needed
Control access to back-of-house areas and coordinate with store management and mall operations regarding closing procedures, after-hours access, and key control where assigned
Complete required reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs accurately and in a timely manner, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts
Qualification
Required
At least 2 years of security-related experience is required
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required
Be at least 21 years of age
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Alarm panel experience is preferred
A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
