Rev Cycle Informatics Analyst Sr

The Revenue Cycle Informatics Analyst Senior is responsible for implementing and supporting business analytics within the Revenue Cycle, developing dashboards and reports to support management objectives, and collaborating with various stakeholders to improve revenue cycle performance.

Responsibilities

Implementing, designing, and providing support for business and administrative analytics within the Revenue Cycle functional areas
Developing dashboards and reports with key performance indicators, metrics, data points, and formulas to support management objectives
Assisting Revenue Cycle leaders in working closely with administrators, clinical departments, vendors, and other personnel to investigate and design strategic initiatives to improve revenue cycle statistics, reporting capabilities, and overall performance
Ensuring Revenue Cycle systems interface with all necessary systems, proactively evaluating all processes, and making recommendations to avoid problems
Participating in vendor coordination and performance evaluation to support system functionality and data integrity
Determining how processes can be aligned with best practices to achieve optimal results, measurable change, and quantifiable, positive contribution
Utilizing interpersonal skills to maximize customer service and professionalism; contributing to a work environment of caring, cooperation, and teamwork
Performing other duties as needed

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Healthcare or other related degree required
Minimum seven years of experience as a revenue cycle analyst in healthcare, information technology or related field required
Minimum one year of experience in health care systems and processes with government and private payers required
Advanced skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
Extensive knowledge of revenue cycle data analysis and interpretation
Keen attention to detail
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Superb analytical and critical thinking abilities
Advanced time-management and organizational skills
Knowledgeable of healthcare improvement methodologies; knowledge of reimbursement/payment policies, medical terminology, medical record coding, and claim billing strongly required
Able to read, write and speak English with professional quality; use computer, printer, computer programming, and other software programs necessary to the position
Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction
Able to troubleshoot complex programs and system logic; perform complex math functions; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; work independently with minimal supervision
Distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position
Certification in Six Sigma methodology required

Preferred

Certification in other revenue cycle relevant field preferred
