Facilities Manager
Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is the largest of Scotland’s seven regional transport partnerships, delivering a wide range of public transport services. They are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead and manage the maintenance, safety, and operational readiness of all facilities across SPT’s estate, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and efficient service delivery.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage the maintenance, safety and operational readiness of all facilities across SPT’s estate
Ensure that all sites meet regulatory standards, support service delivery and provide a safe, clean and efficient environment for passengers and staff
Manage the day-to-day facilities operations of buildings, stations, depots and public areas across the SPT estate
Manage all resources including budgets, people and assets and the development of budgets and resource plans
Ensure that all facilities comply with all necessary regulations including health and safety, fire safety, LOLER and environmental while overseeing planned and reactive maintenance schedules
Work closely with all teams across Transport Operations, Engineering and Maintenance to ensure works are co-ordinated and delivered efficiently with minimum disruption to customers
Qualification
Required
In-depth knowledge of facilities management
In-depth knowledge of building management systems
In-depth knowledge of fire safety
In-depth knowledge of the Equality Act
In-depth knowledge of legislative requirements and delivering compliance across a diverse estate
Experience of tendering, negotiating and supervising third party contractors
Experience of managing teams of in-house staff and contractors
Experience of managing projects with multi-stakeholders
Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Responsive to changing environments
Able to operate within a developing team structure
Proactive approach to the role
Ability to operate autonomously
Degree in a relevant discipline or a Facilities Management qualification
Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH
Preferred
Project management experience
