Responsibilities

Interpret design requirements
Design structural and electromechanical systems meeting requirements
Create solid models and drawings of components and assemblies
Conduct tolerance analyses
Conduct trade studies
Demonstrate design-for-manufacturability
Provide guidance to design team members
Provide input to schedules and statements of work
Technical writing including the generation of engineering reports ready for submission to regulatory authorities

Qualification

Mechanical designSOLIDWORKSCSWP certificationASME pressure vessel codeAircraft systems experienceTolerance analysisTrade studiesDesign-for-manufacturabilityTechnical writing

Required

Bachelor of Science in engineering
5+ years in mechanical design

Preferred

More than five years' experience using SOLID WORKS for design
CSWP or better
experience with the ASME pressure vessel code and welding of metal alloys
previous experience developing, testing or supporting aircraft systems
