EDUCATION AND TRAINING TECHNICIAN
USAJOBS is seeking an Education and Training Technician to schedule academic training classes for students assigned to the Air Force Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy (AFSNCOA). The role involves reviewing, prioritizing, and coordinating academic requests to prepare annual class schedules and student loads to meet Air Force Program Requirements Document standards.

Plans, coordinates, and schedules unprogrammed events
Represents the section with a variety of installation and functional area organizations
Uses varied and advanced functions of office automation software to create, format, modify, edit, and print a variety of reports, documents and support office operations
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizenship is required
Males must be registered for Selective Service
Must be a permanent Department of Air Force employee currently assigned to Air Education and Training Command (AETC)
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06, or equivalent in other pay systems
Knowledge of an extensive body of rules, concepts, techniques, procedures, and operations of education & training programs to perform a wide variety of assignments involved in the development of academic training schedules for student classes which meet PRD objectives
Knowledge of the organization's operations and functions sufficient to evaluate information gathered from various sources and use basic analytical methods and techniques to determine adequacy of, or deficiencies in the scheduling function
Knowledge of the AFSNCOA training program mission and objectives to perform assignments and resolve a wide range of issues using accepted practices
Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations, retrieve and input data, and maintain accurate files
Ability to use a variety of computer programs/software to enter, maintain, sort, retrieve information, and produce a variety of standardized documents
Knowledge of the rules, concepts, techniques, procedures, and operations of education and training programs to perform specialized assignments in the academic scheduling function
Knowledge of the organization's operations and functions sufficient to evaluate information gathered from various sources to determine quality, accuracy, and applicability
Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations, retrieve and input data, and maintain accurate files; a qualified typist is required
Skill in applying basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve conflicts and determine adequacy of, or deficiencies in the program and coordinate actions with others
Ability to use one or more established computer programs/software (Microsoft Office) to enter, maintain, sort, and retrieve organizational and/or program data
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using tact and courtesy. Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization and format to accurately prepare and edit written correspondence and reports
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-06 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level
