Responsibilities

Under general supervision, directs aircraft rescue personnel activities related to aircraft rescue firefighting and emergency medical calls
Directs and performs structural firefighting duties
Supervises daily departmental functions and activities
Oversees departmental practices in accordance with fire codes and airport policies and procedures
Supervises the operation of all equipment
Performs emergency medical services and operates equipment, as needed
Performs other job-related duties as required

Qualification

Aircraft Fire/Rescue OperationsEmergency Medical TechnicianBasic Firefighting CertificateParamedic CertificationSupervisory SkillsHigh School Diploma

Required

High School Diploma or GED required
Five years of full-time experience in civilian or military Aircraft Fire/Rescue Operations required
Must be able to successfully complete a ten-year background check
Valid State of Ohio Driver's License required
Must obtain certification as an Emergency Medical Technician and the 240-hour Basic Firefighting Certificate within one year of appointment
Must become a Paramedic and maintain certification within three years of appointment
