Responsibilities
Own and drive the long-term technical vision, ensuring all solutions are scalable, performant, and aligned with overall business strategy
Direct high-level system design and architecture decisions, establishing best practices, documenting trade-offs, and ensuring engineering excellence
Mentor and manage a team of engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and technical curiosity
Manage team performance, growth, and career development
Act as the primary bridge between engineering, product management, and operations to ensure seamless feature delivery and shared technical understanding
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into concrete, scalable technical solutions
Qualification
Required
10+ years of progressive experience in software development, with a minimum of 3+ years in an official technical leadership, management, or principal-level role
Deep expertise in the full web development stack (e.g., React, TypeScript, JavaScript, PostgreSQL or similar) and proven experience designing and deploying scalable systems in high-traffic, production environments
Proven track record of architecting and launching products from the ground up and scaling infrastructure to support multi-million dollar revenue growth
Expert at balancing rapid feature experimentation with the rigorous engineering standards required to support high-value enterprise customers
Strong, demonstrable knowledge of modern software architecture principles, including hands-on experience implementing patterns like microservices, event-driven architecture, or domain-driven design
Exceptional communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical executive audiences
Working knowledge of modern DevOps practices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and experience leveraging Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) to optimize system reliability and performance
Comfortable making data-driven decisions in ambiguous, high-pressure situations, and proactively identifying and addressing system-wide technical challenges
