Responsibilities
Build and automate cloud environments using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, Ansible)
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integrated automated testing and security scans
Support deployment of applications in scalable, cloud‑based, zero‑trust‑aligned architectures
Perform system monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
Manage patching, updates, and maintenance to meet federal security requirements
Work closely with developers and architects in Agile sprint cycles
Ensure compliance with NIST 800‑53, Zero Trust requirements, and federal security standards

Pyramid is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support a federal client on a large cloud modernization initiative
This role will design, automate, and maintain secure AWS cloud environments while supporting Agile and DevSecOps delivery
Build and automate cloud environments using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, Ansible)
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integrated automated testing and security scans
Support deployment of applications in scalable, cloud‑based, zero‑trust‑aligned architectures
Perform system monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
Manage patching, updates, and maintenance to meet federal security requirements
Work closely with developers and architects in Agile sprint cycles
Ensure compliance with NIST 800‑53, Zero Trust requirements, and federal security standards
8+ years of experience with cloud or virtualized infrastructure
Strong hands‑on AWS experience
Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD automation
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Strong scripting experience (Python, Ruby, Go, etc.)
Linux administration experience and strong troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with NIST security controls and DevSecOps practices
Experience working in Agile delivery environments
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred
Experience supporting federal programs or secure enterprise systems
Background in modernizing legacy platforms
Familiarity with cloud monitoring and logging tools
Experience supporting systems through the ATO/SDLC process
