Responsibilities
Manages one or more clinical units (program)
Determining appropriate staffing levels to achieve organizational goals
Participating in development of the unit budget
Monitoring the units' compliance with standards and supervision of nursing staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
Current incumbents not meeting degree requirements must obtain by December 31, 2023
Five (5) years of clinical nursing experience, two (2) years of which were in a supervisory role or higher
Valid license from the State of Nevada to Practice as a Registered Nurse
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accepted by the American Heart Association (AHA)
BLS and ACLS from AHA at hire
Preferred
Minimum of two (2) years in leadership or program management within a burn center or burn-related clinical specialty, including familiarity with burn care standards, verification requirements, or performance improvement processes
Minimum of two (2) year experience with program or quality accreditation/compliance, data abstraction, analysis, and reporting
Experience preparing and managing program budgets, as well as contributing to strategic planning, operational development, and implementation of burn program initiatives
Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to create presentation materials including graphs and data tables
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Experience delivering education on burn-specific clinical practices, protocols, and quality improvement efforts to multidisciplinary teams and learners across all skill levels
Must be able to obtain Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) within 6 months of hire and ABLS Instructor within 18 months of hire
