Financial Analyst II
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of the largest agencies in the state, responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of North Carolinians. The Financial Analyst II will support the Provider Reimbursements Unit, primarily focusing on rate setting and reimbursement needs for Medicaid Programs, while also conducting financial analysis and interpreting regulations.

Responsibilities
Supporting rate setting, waivers, SPAs, and other reimbursement needs for a set of Medicaid Programs
Perform financial analysis on assigned providers to determine payment rates
Researching, understanding, and interpreting state and federal regulations for programs
Keeping up to date with the frequent need to modify the regulations for changes to the respective programs
Comparative analysis with prior years’ cost information for the individual facility as well as other facilities and additionally with national and industry data
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, banking, finance, business administration, economics, or related discipline from an accredited institution and 1 year of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Knowledgeable about Medicaid/Claims
