Read and understand weld detail drawings, blueprints, welding procedures, and shop travelers
Good with written and verbal communication. Attend continual education for welding process
All welding and cutting equipment. Electrical and manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, grinders, etc.)
All cranes and welding positioners
Computer for job log in and job information
Set up welding machine and other required equipment
Welding TIG and vertical/horizontal
Must be able to fabricate metal
Review drawings/blueprints for specific requirements
Knowledge with overhead crane and hand tools
Tack assembly together per specifications
Insure work meets quality standards
Consistently look for ways to eliminate waste and improve processes
Practice safety in all aspects of job
Look for safety issues with equipment and processes
Qualification
Required
Must have passed AWS D14.6 and AWS D1.1 welding qualification tests
Can tig weld and pass a horizontal/vertical weld test
Read and understand weld detail drawings, blueprints, welding procedures, and shop travelers
Good with written and verbal communication
Attend continual education for welding process
Ability to tack and fit as needed in the shop
All welding and cutting equipment
Electrical and manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, grinders, etc.)
All cranes and welding positioners

Ability to read weld symbols
Fluent in English, working with written and verbal communication
