They are seeking a Senior Engineer – Signal Processing to create an optimized bioinformatic signal pipeline that extracts information from biological assays using advanced signal processing techniques.

Responsibilities
Develop a data processing pipeline that transforms biological signals into discrete data sources for downstream processing
Implement novel algorithms and improve proven algorithms in novel ways to optimize throughput and quality of biological detection systems
Work closely with hardware and chemistry teams to optimize workflow and instrumentation to achieve the highest possible data quality
Work closely with bioinformatics teams to optimize performance of downstream assays and applications
Use modeling and analysis to predict future performance and identify key parameters limiting potential data quality
Work with chemistry and hardware teams to prioritize experiments that will guide the system to its theoretical limits
Qualification
Required
BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Bioinformatics, or related field
BS and 5+ MS and 3+ years or PhD and 0+ years of experience in digital or analog signal processing, image analysis, communications, physical layer algorithm development or comparable field
Strong understanding of signal processing, digital communication, and optimal system design
Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C++ or similar language and high-performance computing frameworks
Preferred
Familiarity with machine learning techniques for image processing, channel optimization, or related areas
Experience with GPU-accelerated computation (CUDA, RAPIDS, etc.)
Experience in cross-functional collaboration with engineering, chemistry and biochemistry teams
