Responsibilities
Lead the team through the product line review process to ensure that the gaps in the portfolio are well understood and plans are developed to address those gaps
Lead and ensure all categories and products are being managed throughout the product lifecycle
Develop and execute rationalization strategies to lean out and de-complex the categories
Define opportunities for VAVE and localization and coordinate efforts with appropriate functional leads to execute
Lead the team through the 8 Step Value Innovation process to ensure the customer’s voice is properly represented in our investment and growth strategies
Work closely with the regional sales and marketing teams to ensure that their needs are understood and clearly represented in the product strategy
Ensure the product managers are clearly defining the market segments that we currently participate in and the value that we offer customers in those segments
Identify new segments to help drive profitable growth
Define the competitive landscape and develop data to clearly articulate the category value propositions
Develop and present new business opportunities
Participate as a senior leader in monthly phase gate reviews to drive consistency in the NPD process and in monthly Quality & Reliability reviews to ensure that our products continue to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated success developing product strategies and defining and launching excellent software/digital solutions into a channel environment
Strong overall business acumen, solid financial grounding and a clear understanding of how our business operates. Excellent judgment and analytical ability to make recommendations/decisions and to resolve complex issues
Experience managing people and/or influencing cross-functional teams
Compelling written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact and influence senior leaders in an organization
Passion for process improvement and change agent abilities across a corporation. Able to coach and teach others how to use and apply the business operating system to improve their processes
Demonstrated leadership capability specifically in conflict management and negotiation
Ability to collaborate, aligning external customer needs and Thermo King goals
Bachelor's degree required
