Responsibilities
Follow all lab safety protocols, including waste disposal, PPE use, and emergency procedures; keep the workspace clean and compliant
Prepare experiments by setting up equipment, materials, and instruments to meet safety and operational standards
Record accurate data, observations, and measurements in lab notebooks or digital systems
Use analytical tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Office, instrument programs) to process data and summarize results
Operate and maintain lab instruments, performing routine calibration and cleaning
Execute experiments per SOPs, ensuring detailed documentation of methods and results
Continue learning new lab techniques, tools, and principles while shadowing senior staff for skill development
Qualification
Required
College student seeking degree in Materials Engineering, or a related field
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, & Outlook
Highly collaborative, effective problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills
