Senior AR & Collections Analyst

Responsibilities
Helping the AR & Collections team, managing day-to-day operations and setting performance goals
Oversee the review of aging reports, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances and reduction of days sales outstanding (DSO)
Resolve escalated customer disputes and serve as an executive-level point of contact for sensitive accounts
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Legal teams to establish effective credit and collection policies
Ensure proper application of payments, adjustments, and credits across all regions and systems
Manage reporting and analysis of AR metrics, preparing dashboards and insights for senior Finance leadership
Drive continuous improvement by implementing new tools, automation, and standardized processes across the collections function
Support audit and compliance activities, ensuring alignment with GAAP, SOX, and internal controls
Mentor, coach, and develop AR & Collections Analysts, building organizational capability and succession readiness
Job Complexity: Leads complex AR and collections operations across multiple regions and customer segments. Responsible for resolving escalated issues and driving strategic initiatives that directly impact company cash flow and financial performance
Required Supervision: Operates independently with minimal oversight. Accountable for outcomes of AR & Collections operations and provides strategic recommendations to Finance leadership
Expertise: Recognized as a subject matter expert in accounts receivable, credit risk, and collections strategy. Applies deep technical knowledge and leadership skills to improve performance and reduce financial risk
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or professional certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred
8 plus years of progressive experience in accounts receivable and collections, with leadership responsibility
Proven ability to manage large, complex customer accounts and negotiate resolutions
Strong track record of driving process improvements and implementing systems/automation
Experience managing and developing teams
Proficiency in ERP/financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit/compliance requirements
Preferred
MBA or professional certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent)
