Communications Specialist I
The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Health Professions and Sciences is home to nationally recognized programs focused on health and wellness. They are seeking a Communications Specialist I to develop engaging content for various platforms to strengthen the college’s brand and outreach.

Responsibilities
Plan, create, and schedule engaging and relevant content for the college's social media platforms
Monitor analytics and assess the effectiveness of content and strategy
Respond to inquiries
Monitor channels, engage with audiences, and make recommendations for new social media campaigns, and strengthen social media interactions
Write news stories and news briefs highlighting the college’s academic excellence, student success, research, innovation, partnerships, and clinical care
Assist with copywriting and editing of college publications and marketing materials including digital newsletters, email campaigns, reports, brochures, and flyers
Work with communications team members to create compelling visual marketing and social media assets, working with photos, short videos, and graphics as needed
Assist with planning and execution of special events, media visits, and collegewide meetings
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6)
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a similar field
1–3 years of related professional experience
Knowledgeable of major social media platforms, including Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn
Proficiency in creating and editing graphics using Canva, along with basic skills in photo and video editing
Familiarity with the University of Central Florida (UCF)
