Responsibilities
Determine and prioritize current and future OC Parks maintenance activities and assignments with other divisions, departments and outside agencies
Review and determine the ordering of required materials, number of staff, and type of equipment for maintenance projects
Oversee the work of volunteers and contractors, including construction projects and professional services contractors, such as heavy equipment teams and trail crews
Participate in the input of labor and job completion data into a computer maintenance management system (CMMS)
Provide support and guidance to project managers and contractors
Develop and maintain maintenance standards for multiple facilities
Coordinate facility operations and conducting monthly facilities inspections
Order required materials, staff, and equipment and schedule maintenance projects to ensure compliance with project specifications
Project future maintenance activities and plan annual budget
Adapt to flexible work responsibilities when addressing emergency maintenance after fires and other significant events
Coordinate Park facility operations and participate in the inspections of park infrastructure, leased/licensed County facilities, and encroachments
Evaluate and manage contracts for compliance
Conduct training and safety meetings as required by Cal/OSHA, CEO Risk Management and OC Parks
Represent OC Parks in a positive and professional manner to all customers and stakeholders
Qualification
Required
At least one (1) year as Park Maintenance Supervisor I with the County of Orange
At least three (3) years of experience as a Park Maintenance Worker II with the County of Orange
At least four (4) years of experience performing skilled maintenance and repair work in open spaces or facilities, with at least two (2) years of supervision or oversight experience over maintenance and/or construction trades personnel
