ED Technician, Per Diem, Variable Shift

Responsibilities
Applies simple dressings
Assists registered nurse and physician with procedures
Coordinates the desk for phone calls, order entry, charge adjustments, transfers of patients, ordering of supplies, stocking supplies, adjusting charges on back log, and other duties as assigned either verbally or in writing
Knows basic life-support and assists with CPR as needed
Maintains and meets expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and all other regulatory agencies
Monitors and documents vital signs
Willingly performs other duties and innovations as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School graduate or GED required
BLS Certification following American Heart Association guidelines required (no other cards accepted)
Current Certified Nursing Assistant or EMT I certification required
12 Lead EKG competency
Basic knowledge of medical terminology required
Preferred
Six months experience in patient care in an acute hospital preferred
