The role includes providing customer service, managing case files, and ensuring compliance with legal standards.

Government

Responsibilities

Providing customer service which includes processing incoming requests and providing information to staff, coworkers, or the public via phone, email, mail, or in-person. Reviewing files, documents, and printed material for accuracy and completeness
Running daily reports through various programs
Updating and maintaining a high volume of cases in a Criminal Management System
Converting, copying, scanning and attaching necessary material as PDF documents into databases
Answering multi-line phone system and transferring calls after screening, as needed
Maintaining confidentiality with client files and case notes in compliance with professional standards and victims' rights
Processing a high volume of incoming and outgoing mail
Providing back-up coverage to team members and other areas, as needed

Required

Two years of clerical or public contact experience, including a minimum of one year in a courtroom or law office
Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted
All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position
Candidates who receive a conditional offer of employment must be fingerprinted and will have their fingerprints used to check the Criminal History Records of the State of Arizona Department of Public Safety and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Any records returned will be reviewed to determine the candidate's suitability for the job

Preferred

Spanish language skills are desirable
Experience with Rules of Court, Evidence, Discovery and Victims' Rights
Experience using Microsoft Office applications
Experience performing data entry
Experience ordering or obtaining evidence
Experience working in a legal setting utilizing a document and case management system
