Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining, analyzing, and correcting accounting files for the Member & Retail companies
Assists with ensuring day to day accounting procedures can be performed, resolving technical queries, and communicating solutions directly to customers
Work with Member, Retail and IT personnel to research and resolve discrepancies
Analyzes accounting functions and month end close to assist customers in finding discrepancies
Troubleshoot accounting functions and issues providing consulting and technical solutions to customers
Assist with compiling and analyzing financial information as requested by customers and work with vendors, developers or staff as needed to resolve issues or log defects
Maintains current knowledge and understanding of GROWMARK standard software, and related systems to assist customers in resolving problems and answer questions with minimal supervision
Run basic database queries to identify problems as it relates to member/retail company application data or asset management databases
Records and documents all support activities and processes through a ticketing system
May assist Lead Analyst, IT Application Support Manager, and/or Portfolio Groups with the testing and installation of new software and application updates
Prepares monthly status reports, project summaries, and technical recommendations
Troubleshoot issues in GROWMARK applications, offering consulting, and technical solutions to customers
Performs database inquiries and audits to verify system integrity and to identify problems
Makes corrections and changes to customer data to resolve database problems under direct supervision of IT Application Manager following standard procedures and providing audit trail
Record and document all support activities and processes through a ticketing system
Assist with providing client training regarding use of GROWMARK standard hardware, software, and security practices, both on-site and off-site as needed
Responsible for and/or assist with the maintenance of Knowledge Base items and keeping existing documentation up to date while also helping to provide new documentation for both internal and external consumption
Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply
Must be able to carry an electronic communication device after business hours and on weekends to respond to support calls
Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Normally requires an associate degree in business, information technology, accounting, or the equivalent thereof, and experience in IT or Accounting related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of information systems technologies and applications preferred
Understanding and experience with accounting-related areas including payables, receivables, billing systems, overhead, general ledger, and fixed asset systems and software, financial statements, internal controls, accounting standards, audit strategy, policies and procedures, and compliance
Proven computer skills including spreadsheet, database; the ability to use the computer to enhance business processes; and the ability to learn accounting-related software
Strong customer service skills, including effective communication and problem-solving abilities, business knowledge, customer focus, decision making and skill development are essential for providing exceptional support and satisfaction to customers
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
Must be able to routinely carry an electronic communication device after business hours to respond to support calls
Ability to work other than normal business days and hours as support needs arise
Ability to travel independently and overnight and be assigned temporarily to client locations, technical conferences, training, etc
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Must obtain and maintain a Passport for support of international operations
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position
