Responsibilities
Greets all Radiology outpatients, enters orders into EPIC, and arrives orders in PACS
Directs patients to modalities and informs techs of the patient's arrival
Answers radiology phone calls and directs calls to the appropriate area
Burns CDs and prints patient reports to go to outside facilities
Maintains stock of oral contrast at the front desk
Maintains stock of patient questionnaires at the front desk
Helps patients (when needed) in filling out questionnaires for CT, MRI, and Mammography
Ensures waiting room is tidy
Tracks and informs doctor offices of studies that are canceled or rescheduled due to department issues or patients’ inability to complete the exam after arrival
Qualification
Required
High school diploma
At least 2yrs of clerical/administrative work
preferably in a hospital setting
Preferred
some administrative college courses
