Warehouse Support Technician

Tate & Lyle is a company that focuses on food safety, environmental health, and safety in their operations. They are seeking a Warehouse Support Technician to assist in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated packaging systems at their McIntosh Plant.

Responsibilities

Know all safety programs, procedures and expectations: PPE, MSDS, GMP, guarding, powered equipment, safety auditing, location of safety equipment, etc
Display basic computer skills: Windows, E-mail, SAP, time entry, etc
Know process, procedure and basic equipment operation for: Packaging equipment, warehousing, shipping etc
Know basic SMP’s for area specific processes and equipment
Be fully capable of safely doing all field related activities
Lifting of up to 55 pounds without mechanical assistance
Use of hand tools above shoulders, under ergonomically stressful conditions, and under application of heavy force by employee
Must be able to work in hot and cold temperatures, climb stairs, climb ladders, and perform other physical duties
Ability to work a rotating shift schedule in a 365/24/7 operation with the flexibility to work alternate schedules as needed
Carry out responsibilities/duties according to food safety, legal and quality requirements to ensure that our products are fit for human consumption
Comply with all environmental standards, procedures and work instructions at all times
Report any environmental violations or near misses in order to prevent any impact upon the local environment, its inhabitants and Tate & Lyle
Adhere to the safety policies, procedures and site rules
Fully participate in the safety program, including reporting any incidents or near misses and auditing
