Training Manager

Responsibilities

Manages various training systems and records
Collaborates with Training and Quality Team to ensure training content meets program goals
Recommends, develops and oversees updates to existing training materials for continuous improvement in course and program content
Partners with leadership to identify areas of concern and areas for improvement to coordinate and provide competency-based staff training
Attends staff meetings, in-services, trainings, and other meetings as requested, in addition to traveling within assigned region and across other organizational region(s)
Provides general supervision to and manages, evaluates, and monitors performance and productivity of Regional Trainers and Lead Behavior Interventionists
Ensures responsibility, authority, and accountability are clearly defined and communicated to direct reports
Oversees and maintains clinical quality, and assists with organizational and clinical audits within assigned region
Ensures evaluations, case-management reviews, quality assurance reviews, and audits are assigned and completed
Updates and manages case and assessment assignments
Leads various projects in support of goals and objectives within the Autism Services strategic plan
Provides leadership with updates on project progress on a monthly and quarterly basis
Meets productivity requirements set forth in annual budget
Provides efficient and effective service in all areas of performance
Develops and monitors individualized goals and plans as identified in the Individualized Treatment Plan in conjunction with other program associates
Remains current regarding new research, current trends and developments in organizational behavior management, behavior analysis, training, autism, special education, and related fields
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Requires a Master's Degree with emphasis in Early Childhood Education/Development, Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education, Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or related field, from an accredited college or university
Must have and maintain certification as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Typically requires 8-10 years of related supervisory experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a multidisciplinary team setting
Demonstrated knowledge of scientifically validated methodologies and approaches found to benefit individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Demonstrated expertise in approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis, employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies, including Pivotal Response Training, Natural Environment Teaching, Picture Exchange Communication System, Behavior Skills Training, and experimental functional analysis
Demonstrated knowledge of early intervention field, community resources and agencies that serve children
Expertise in all empirically evaluated assessment and intervention strategies related to program and service delivery for individuals with ASD
Demonstrated leadership, clinical and administrative skills; ability to exercise good judgement, communicate orally and in writing, as well as follow organization policies and provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients
Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and a TB test
Ability to provide proof of required vaccinations or positive titer showing immunity. A signed declination may be acceptable for certain vaccinations
Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Easterseals of Southern California and/or program requirements
Ability to travel locally; maintain driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards; maintain auto insurance and vehicle registration
