Responsibilities

Develop novel algorithms and implement existing algorithms in novel ways to optimize throughput and quality of biological detection systems
Apply advanced signal-processing techniques to maximize accuracy and minimize systematic bias
Optimize data pipelines for speed and cost using GPU-accelerated computation
Develop metrics and diagnostics to guide the work of the hardware and chemistry teams and give them key insights into the results of their experiments
Develop models and simulations to assist hardware and chemistry teams in identifying areas for improvement and defining next-generation systems

Required

BS, MS or PhD Biophysics, Physics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
BS and 8+, MS and 6+, or PhD and 3+ years of experience in genomics, spatial biology, proteomics, single-molecule detection, or related fields
Experience with GPU-accelerated computation (CUDA, RAPIDS, etc.)
Experience developing image processing or signal processing algorithms in biological applications
Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C++ or similar language and high-performance computing frameworks
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with optical, mechanical, and chemistry engineering teams

Preferred

Familiarity with machine learning techniques for image processing, channel optimization, or related areas
Familiarity with high-resolution optical systems and associated data pipelines
Experience implementing algorithms in embedded or on-instrument environments
Record of innovation through publications, patents or open-source contributions
