Director of Sales - San Diego

They are seeking an experienced and innovative Director of Sales to expand their pipeline of prospects, qualify decision makers, introduce their products and services, and close business in the employee benefits space.

Responsibilities
Leverage your existing network of brokers to schedule meetings, introduce First Stop Health to brokers and ultimately expand our reach in the employee benefits space through sales to their clients
Actively build and expand the front end of the sales funnel through targeted prospecting and lead generation
Educate brokers on the benefits of telemedicine and evangelize the First Stop Health model
Deliver your quota of new business
Proactively use our CRM to record events in the sales process, isolate and replicate the predictable milestones of the sales process, and recommend new approaches
Stay informed on related industry trends, news stories and competitive landscape
Maintain and improve processes by following standards, policies and procedures, as well as recommending new approaches
Qualification
Required
5+ years in employee benefits sales, with success selling to employers via brokers/consultants
Proven ability to build and grow broker/consultant partnerships and influence producer audiences
Experience selling health, wellbeing, and/or ancillary benefits (telehealth/virtual care, EAP, navigation, supplemental/voluntary, wellness)
Existing broker network or active relationships that can drive near-term pipeline
Success running complex, consultative sales cycles end-to-end with multi-stakeholder buying groups
Strong understanding of benefits economics and employer buying cycles (renewals, budgets, funding types)
Disciplined pipeline management in Salesforce (or similar), with strong forecasting hygiene and process adherence
Data-driven territory and deal planning (segmentation, pipeline coverage, conversion, activity-to-outcome)
Executive presence and strong relationship-building with senior broker and employer stakeholders

Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
