Trade Lane Talent is representing a major marine terminal operator seeking a Project Planner / Scheduler to support a large-scale upgrade of a busy port facility in New Jersey. This role focuses on planning, sequencing, and controlling a complex capital delivery program while ensuring efficient execution without disrupting terminal operations.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and manage the master project schedule for a large infrastructure program
Coordinate schedule inputs from engineering, construction, operations, and third-party contractors
Use planning tools to support sequencing and conflict resolution across work streams
Support 4D planning (time + spatial sequencing) to visualize work impact in a live terminal environment
Monitor progress, identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies, and communicate changes to stakeholders
Prepare and present schedule updates, forecasts, and insights to project leadership
Ensure alignment between the schedule and project goals, safety, and operational requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls, or related field
5+ years of project planning, scheduling, or project controls experience on large-scale infrastructure or industrial programs
Strong command of scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar)
Proven ability to manage complex project schedules with multiple dependencies and stakeholders
Experience coordinating with engineering, construction, and operations teams in high-impact environments
Role requires regular on-site presence at an active industrial facility
Must be able to comply with site safety protocols and construction area requirements
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required background checks, drug screening, and compliance with applicable port security and safety requirements

Preferred

Experience on port, marine terminal, airport, rail, or other major infrastructure projects
Demonstrated use of 4D planning in planning and execution decisions
Familiarity with project delivery on brownfield sites or environments that must remain operational during construction
