Responsibilities
Provide strategic oversight of structural, systems integration, harness, mechanical, and canopy design to guarantee airworthiness and performance
Ensure certification plans and verification activities meet contractual and regulatory requirements
Develop and embed standardized design processes, tools, and metrics into the digital engineering thread across all Aero programs
Lead workforce planning, talent development, and resource allocation to meet program staffing needs and surge capacity
Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, incorporating emerging technologies such as topology optimization, additive manufacturing, and AI‑enabled design automation
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. citizen
Possess an active Secret clearance to start
Deep expertise in airframe engineering
Proven track record of delivering complex, high-impact programs on time and on budget
Ability to mentor technical talent
Champion best practices
Navigate cross-functional partnerships
Preferred
Previous experience with multiple Aeronautics platforms
Proven full spectrum leadership skills
Experience with technology development/innovation
Demonstrated experience leading diverse and highly dynamic teams/organizations
Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience engaging and presenting in executive level meetings
