Responsibilities
Manages control projects with broad scope and complexity within and across divisions. Develops and implements the internal control framework and leads control identification, design, implementation, and testing within assigned division using relevant tools and platforms. Identifies and remedies control gaps, monitors controls, and ensures the effective design and operation of the control framework. Recommends and implements actions to increase effectiveness
Provides consultation, facilitation and analytical support on complex control-related issues to ensure internal controls are properly aligned and implemented. Provides advanced level consulting to the business on internal and external audit activities and results as well as risk mitigation initiatives in response to audit findings
Supports the development and distribution of management reporting data. Maintains the documentation of findings and maintains reporting results. Leads the investigation of matters arising out of regular exception reports, and escalates to management and Compliance as appropriate
Builds strong working relationships with business key internal and external stakeholders. Collaborates with the department and management in sharing best practices regarding key controls, to influence and effectively communicate control solutions to all appropriate parties
Provides education and influence to crew around audit and control issues in order to create awareness, education, and compliance
Maintains awareness of risk and control topics. Seeks to understand broad industry and Vanguard trends regarding risk and control and determines applicability to the operation
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum of five years related work experience
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
