Responsibilities
Researching and analyzing state and federal laws and regulations
Supporting projects related to healthcare regulation, data privacy, policy, and compliance
Reviewing and assisting with the drafting and revision of contracts
Assisting with business transactions and internal legal initiatives
Conducting legal research using tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis
Preparing written analyses, presentations, and reports
Participating in team meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
Collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to ongoing legal projects
Supporting the day-to-day operations of the Legal and Policy Division
Qualification
Required
Current 1L student in good standing at an ABA-accredited law school
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
Experience with legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team
Familiarity with virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
