Responsibilities
Supports production work cells by pulling and cutting all cable materials necessary to complete shop orders
Measures and cuts cable to required length using hand tools and/or cable cutting machine
Communicates with cell lead and assemblers to determine schedule of work for pulling materials
Systematically issue raw material to work orders
Organizes material racks as needed for optimum efficiency
Responsible for cable inventory accuracy
Perform periodically cycle count of cable material
Comply with all established safety procedures and policies
Qualification
Required
Must possess basic computer skills
Must have the ability to operate a Forklift truck
Ability to take an active role in recommending and implementing continuous improvements in production
Ability to use judgment related to identifying potential safety hazards
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Minimum three months related experience and/or training
