WFD Training Program Development Specialist - Campus
Goodwill North Central Texas is seeking a WFD Training Program Development Specialist to assist in the development of training materials and programs focused on mentoring and onboarding new staff. The role involves assessing training needs, developing targeted curricula, facilitating training classes, and maintaining the learning management system.

Responsibilities
Assist in development of training material and programs with a specific focus on mentoring development and on-boarding new staff to ensure they are trained consistently
Assess the Workforce Development and mission services area for knowledge and skill needs with a focus on the Workforce Development business
Development of targeted training curricula based on the outcome of the knowledge and skills assessments
Continuously monitor progress and effectiveness of training programs and provide regular feedback to management and other internal departments and functions
Work closely with management to define and agree on program effectiveness, updates and improvements as required
Facilitate and lead training classes using a variety of delivery methods
Training includes new Workforce Development employee training, workshops, on-the-job training, and side-by-side coaching for workforce development positions
Deliver developed curricula by position in a consistent manner demonstrating proficiency in foundational facilitator competencies
Displays solid knowledge of career services industry, systems, course content, and materials
Assist team members with problems concerning 'how to' perform specific tasks related to their positions
Work with WFD Leadership regarding content delivery methods and scope of priorities for class schedules and need
Originate, design, and create Workforce Development training-related documents, materials, and presentations, as needed
Review and edit training content for consistency and design and identify improvement opportunities for course and courseware materials through delivery and proofreading of course materials to ensure procedures, exercises and practices work as written and meets department standards
Establish and maintain close working relationships with other internal program departments
Report on the progress of team members under guidance during training periods (30/60/90 days, etc.)
Maintain the learning management system, (UKG Career Development, Fred Pryor, etc.) including employee records, reports, training plans, and videos
Serve as a backup to monitor required training on a monthly and quarterly basis, providing delinquency and completion reports quarterly to the Workforce Development Leadership group
Produce targeted and tangible results by creating an effective and efficient work environment using in-person and virtual training
Perform other responsibilities and duties, as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
Three years of experience with training program development and implementation or related area
Ability or willingness to work with varied training delivery software packages
Knowledge and working experience of technology tools required for delivery of effective and engaging remote learning
Technical background strongly recommended
High energy, hard worker
Ability to innovate on development and delivery of training content
Preferred
Masters preferred
Experience in change management a plus
