This role involves managing month-end close processes, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and compliance-related tasks, while supporting business growth and managing a small team.

Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the month-end close process
Balance sheet reconciliations
Complete e-commerce revenue reconciliations
Ensure GAAP compliance for revenue recognition
Perform ad hoc reporting and financial analysis
Oversee and analyze all reconciliations done by our 3rd party accounting vendor
Oversee and review the aged receivables review and collection process
Oversee and review weekly bank reconciliations
Manage and oversee customer deductions and trade spend reconciliation
Manage and oversee new customer set ups and invoicing
Set up new vendors and process invoices
Review Ramp and credit card expense coding
Manage the cash flow impact of weekly payables
Oversee W-9 collection and 1099 filing
Support tax accountants with Sales & Use tax and annual income tax filings
Assist with insurance and due diligence audits
File monthly CRV & Gallonage reports
Oversee payroll
Manage 2 direct reports, AP and AR specialists
Help our Marketing Agency and Venture Studio, Loaf Brands, with accounting support
Qualification
Required
8+ years of accounting experience, preferably in CPG with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
Experience working with 3rd party accounting firms and with offshore accountants
Demonstrated experience with inventory management and cost accounting
Deep knowledge of GAAP accounting and financial reporting
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail & critical thinking
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, start-up environment
Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional compliance and reporting
A proactive, problem-solving mindset, you take ownership, admit mistakes, and act with integrity
Preferred
CPA preferred but not required
Ideally have expertise with QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, CashFlow360, SOS Inventory, Trinet, Ramp, and Floret Trade Deduction Management tool
