Responsibilities

Develop and manage a project intake process, maintaining ownership and oversight from project ideation through scope development, timeline creation and identifying key partners, decision makers and deliverables
Schedule and lead cross-functional meetings necessary to ideate and execute the project with key partners, including but not limited to Finance, Operations, Strategy, Facilities, Merchandise Planning, Store Design, Construction and Asset Protection
Build project timelines in collaboration with cross-functional business partners
Track project milestones to ensure all predetermined timelines are met and communicate any challenges and solutions
Work with key project partners to identify goals and risks for all projects
Schedule and conduct post mortem meetings upon project completion and present findings to department leadership
Propose and implement ongoing process improvements focused on balancing workload, reducing timelines and controlling costs
Align with partners in the department on the project scope to gather costs and build budgets
Collaborate with department Director and partners in FP&A to update monthly budgets and forecasts
Provide monthly budget and forecast updates to department Director, Vice President and SVP
Identify all critical touchpoints needed throughout the project lifecycle and maintain a consistent communication cadence to keep the project team aligned
Conduct kickoff meetings and ongoing status meetings calls with all stakeholders
Communicate with Stores and Field Leaders before, during and after projects to ensure project execution deliverables are on track
Provide weekly and monthly updates to department Director and Vice President
Manage tasks and output of employees on other teams supporting strategic initiatives
Provide leadership and coaching to project teams in order to foster professional growth and development
Influence and motivate diverse teams and stakeholders to effectively manage projects
Mentor and develop talent through effective implementation of Burlington Core Values

Qualification

Required

Undergraduate degree in a business field or related
Minimum of 5 years' project management experience
In-depth project management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Strong financial acumen
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and follow-up skills
Ability to balance and prioritize competing demands
Strong sense of urgency
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Able to sit for long periods in a cubicle environment
Must be able to communicate via phone
Typing/keyboarding 30 wpm (minimum)
Lifting 10 lbs
Must be capable of sending/receiving/reading/responding to emails
Travel requirements 10-20%

Preferred

PMP Certification
Experience in the Retail sector
