Explore the thin film synthesis using pulsed laser methodologies
Investigate the atomic-scale characteristics of metastable phases of boron nitride
Prepare regular reports for funding agencies
Prepare research manuscripts for publication
Project management
Training/supervising graduate and undergraduate students
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. with related experience including nanoscale materials synthesis, laser processing, transmission electron microscopy
A basic understanding of Materials Science will be essential for the position
Preferred
Prior experience with thin film synthesis, transmission electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, scripting with Python/Matlab
PhD degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited or equivalent program is preferred
Experience in materials applications
