The California Franchise Tax Board is responsible for managing the state’s tax collection and compliance. The Director of Organizational Development and Talent Management will oversee the department’s programs that support employee development and organizational change management for approximately 7000 employees across California and nationally.

Efficient and effective management of the department’s Organizational Development and Talent Management program
Develop and implement policy and procedures with direct responsibility for policy, procedures and standards which relate to the department’s Talent Management and Organizational Change Management program
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of interpersonal dynamics in the workplace, including workforce diversity, employee inclusion and engagement, and the need for open communication and trust
Ability to influence others toward a common goal, by building consensus and getting buy-in from others on plans and proposals, including enlisting third party support
Open: Willingness to keep managers, staff and others informed about progress and problems
Knowledge of the management principles for effective recruitment, selection, development and retention of competent staff; includes making appropriate assignments and managing staff performance
