Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate care for hospitalized adult patients

Admit, round on, and discharge patients in collaboration with specialists and nursing staff

Respond to rapid responses and collaborate with the emergency department

Ensure accurate and timely documentation through the hospital’s EMR system

Participate in quality initiatives and hospital committees if desired

Qualification

MD/DO degreeBoard Certified in Internal MedicineActive Connecticut medical licenseACLS certificationClinical decision-making skillsPrevious hospitalist experienceCommunication skillsCollaboration skills

Required

MD/DO degree

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

Active Connecticut medical license (or ability to obtain)

Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills

Preferred

ACLS certification

Previous experience as a hospitalist
