Responsibilities
Develop and document a comprehensive multi-year category and sourcing strategy, utilizing structured methodologies and tools to align with Google Cloud’s long-term idea
Serve as the undisputed relationship owner for a portfolio of strategic suppliers, managing all commercial aspects and acting as the single point of contact
Establish and implement the core governance, processes, and playbooks from the ground up, correcting historical process gaps and creating a standardized foundation
Serve as a trusted advisor, shaping long-term business decisions and ensuring category strategies are fully integrated
Partner with the centralized cost intelligence and supplier performance teams to apply cost intelligence models in all commercial activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
5 years of experience in program or project management
Experience in category management, sourcing, or procurement
Experience with global indirect categories (e.g., professional services, warehousing, or third-party logistics/logistics)
Preferred
5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects
Experience leading commercial negotiations and managing strategic supplier relationships
Experience building and implementing new category management processes and frameworks
Experience in developing multi-year category strategies, including supplier segmentation, market analysis, and supplier performance management
