PART-TIME OFFICE SUPPORT-Extension

NEOGOV is seeking a Part-Time Office Support individual to perform office and administrative duties for assigned program areas. The role involves creating documents, supporting youth programs, and ensuring information accuracy while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Must possess excellent customer service skills and have the ability to work independently to plan their work. Screens telephone calls and visitors; answers inquiries based on scope of knowledge; secures and gives information. Receives, greets and/or registers visitors
Creates documents, spreadsheets, reports, infographics, and presentations with Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Canva. Posts to social media platforms and other formats. Corrects punctuation, spelling and grammar of material produced or reviewed. Create content for the Bladen County Strategic Plan Environment and Agriculture areas. May assist in teaching basic-level material to youth as needed
Coordinates and supports facilitation of several youth programs that may include embryology, youth livestock teams, and poultry programs
Prepares supplies and/or other required materials and equipment for these programs
Preferred applicant will be able to work with children and youth
Reviews and verifies records/reports to ensure that information is complete and accurate

Required

Must possess excellent customer service skills and have the ability to work independently to plan their work
Skills in word processing and relevant computer applications/technology are required
Ability to operate standard office equipment including printers, computers, projectors, laminators, and photo copiers
Ability to communicate effectively and work with a variety of people and programs
Ability to prioritize work and respond to clientele's needs
Graduation from high school or equivalent and one year of relevant experience
Skills should also include a working knowledge of various Microsoft Office processing applications or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
Background and fingerprint checks will be required
This position requires the ability to work during natural disaster events like hurricanes or snow storms
