Responsibilities
Engineer and lead enterprise data, In-Line Encryption (INE) device, voice and video networks
Collaborate with vendors, the Government, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation, optimization and ongoing management
Providing high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WAN hardware, switches, bridges and routers
Lead technical teams that integrating new technology into the existing operational environment
Establish and document baselines to measure network performance and capability across a global enterprise
Advise senior government staff on industry best practices and provide policy recommendations to implement those practices
Providing comprehensive systems and network engineering and architectural planning services
Interfacing with O&M personnel by providing strategic design and support to projects as directed
Comprehensively reviewing existing architectures on a regular basis, recommending and assisting with the design and implementation of systems and network improvements as required
Establishing systems engineering with a focus on the end-to-end functionality of complex systems
Establishing service integration, database structure management, active directory services/DNS, Thin/zero client
Providing data storage with expertise in SANs technologies, NAS technologies, iSCSI, and DAS
Establishing portal/web services with expertise in the design of medium to large enterprise farms, geographical replication, interfacing with external data sources and integration of third- party add-ons
Monitoring PKI/certificate authority
Providing CRM
Performing disaster recovery and backup/restore
Supporting efforts for cybersecurity technology, risks identification and risk mitigation strategies related to cybersecurity, and A&A support documentation in accordance with applicable DoD and IC directives
Maintaining LAN, WAN and VoIP infrastructures, voice and data network systems, advanced engineering, and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems
Establishing SATCOM with an emphasis on IP satellite
Providing support with Wireless networking, Application delivery networking, Cloud computing, Mobile computing, End Point management, and desktop computing
Providing Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) or other NSA Capabilities Package
Engineering enterprise data, voice, and video networks
Establishing and operating network test facilities
Maintaining a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks
Working with vendors, the Government, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation, optimization, and ongoing management
Qualification
Required
Min 9 years with HS degree, 7 years with AS/AA degree, 5 years with BS/BA, 3 years with MS/MA
A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required
DoDD 8570 IAT II Certification, AND CCNP
