Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design and development of thermoformed packaging solutions, tooling, and components

Translate customer and internal requirements into manufacturable designs

Develop 3D models, detailed drawings, and specifications using CAD tools

Partner closely with manufacturing, quality, and tooling teams to support production launches and continuous improvement

Participate in design reviews, prototyping, validation, and troubleshooting

Support design changes driven by cost, quality, performance, or sustainability initiatives

Ensure designs meet applicable quality standards, including ISO requirements for regulated products

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

Senior-level mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment (plastics, packaging, consumer products, or similar preferred)

Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks or similar)

Experience designing for manufacturability and working directly with production teams

Familiarity with tooling, thermoforming, or plastics is a strong plus

Comfortable operating as an individual contributor with ownership of design work
